Economic Hub.

Antwerp has the second largest port of Europe. Already considered the commercial heart of Europe in the fifteenth century, Antwerp continues to be an important economic player today. Antwerp has the second largest petrochemical industry in the world and is the diamond capital of the world (more than half of all raw, cut and industrial diamonds transit through Antwerp). Antwerp is a haven for some of the city’s world-class contemporary artists and fashion designers.

City of Culture.

Antwerp Management School is located in the old historic part of Antwerp, at walking distance of the University. This charming section of the city is home to students from all over Belgium and all over the world. The streets are lined with sandwich bars, bookshops and cafés, meaning students have everything they need within short distance. Students can explore the quaint, cobbled streets and learn all about this historic city. Let’s not forget the breathtaking modern architecture: the new courthouse and MAS museum are two recent additions to this beautiful city nestled at the very heart of Europe.

Heart of Europe.

Launching a successful management career requires a special framework in which to grow: what could be better than a vibrant, multicultural metropolis right at the centre of Europe? Moreover, Antwerp Management School's central location, on a stone throw from the headquarters of the European Union in Brussels, makes it the ideal nerve centre for fast travel between Europe’s big cities.

Development of personal management talent.

Besides making sure that students gain knowledge and insights in the diverse management domains and the management process, we also focus on the development of their personal skills and attitudes. The course 'Leadership and Career Development Track' is an integral part of the curriculum of our programs and aims for the further development of basic skills and attitudes that help students in developing 'authenticity' which are crucial for effective functioning in an organizational setting.

  • We work on increasing self-awareness: insight into personal strengths and areas for  development, leadership potential, intercultural awareness and career interests.
  • We help acquire critical management skills: communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • We actively stimulate students on reflecting on their learning process by drawing conclusions for their future career:  which jobs will allow them to build on their strengths? In which kind of environment will they feel and perform best? And their professional development after graduation.

We do this by a wide variety of approaches: a mixture of self-assessments and teambuilding exercises, thought-provoking lectures and skill training sessions. Moreover, students will receive individual guidance through peer coaching and personal follow up of their development process during individual review meetings with our Faculty.
