University of Warwick - WMG

WMG is an academic department of the University of Warwick, one of the UKs top ten universities. WMG was established in 1980 by Professor Lord Kumar Bhattacharyya in order to reinvigorate UK manufacturing through the application of cutting edge research and effective knowledge transfer.

Over the last 30 years, the group has grown into a global force to be reckoned with, delving outside its manufacturing core into new sectors: health, banking, the built environment and digital technology to name but a few.

As the largest manufacturing group in Europe, WMG offers unrivalled postgraduate education to over 1500 students around the world each year. Occupying an essential position between academia and industry, all of our research projects are dedicated to finding solutions to real world problems enabling our students to benefit from first-hand understanding of the issues facing modern industry. WMG is a pioneer in industry-sponsored research and has on-going collaboration with hundreds of companies worldwide.

At WMG, in addition to research degrees (PhD and EngD), we also offer 15 Masters Courses all of which are designed to develop skills in management and leadership in technology based industries. Our Masters Courses consider technological innovation and strategic management within industry. Some are focussed on specific industries such as our MSc in Cyber Security or the MSc in Sustainable Automotive Engineering whereas others cover general management within engineering and technical industries such as our MSc in Engineering Business Management.
