Masters studies in France

The ‘Grandes Ecoles’ are more specialized than the traditional universities, while the ‘écoles specialises’ are specialized schools like art or music academies. It is advisable for international students to learn French before they start their Masters studies in France. The French are very proud of their language and most of them do not speak English very well. As a consequence, you can be sure that your Masters degree will be accepted internationally, with the possible exception of courses in laws, medicine and education, which are mainly designed for the French system. Normally, postgraduate courses at public universities in France cost about €215. Tuition fees are regulated nationally. But keep in mind that there are some universities like the ‘Grandes Ecoles’ or private institutions that charge higher tuition fees.
