Dealing with deadlines is stressful as they are usually quite important and if you miss one, you might have to wait until next year. Or you even miss your chance completely (when it comes to dormitories). Thus, the best thing you can do is to check them early on and plan the dates in your calendar, send a notification to your e-mail, install an app or use any kind of reminder – there are no rules as long as you apply on time.
In this article you can find the application deadlines for state universities in some of the most attractive study destinations in Europe.
We have also made a research that can give you a general overview of the application deadlines in Europe. Keep in mind that some universities enroll students during the whole year, however the studies start as per normal either in the winter or summer semester.
In most countries there are no fixed dates for all Masters applications and different universities set different rules. The application periods depend on the type of the education institution, the study programme, your country of origin and a few other aspects, hence they vary a lot.
When you choose your Masters and the respective university that offers it, you should check their deadlines. Furthermore, we advise you to even contact the institution directly to make sure that the information you have found is up to date and no changes are expected.

By the end of the application periods you must prepare all your documents and send them. Keep in mind, that some documents have to be sent separately and prior to others. If you need a visa or you have to take a language exam, prepare to start your application process earlier than the standard dates given in the table above.

Finally, it is worth keeping in mind that application periods for public accommodation are often closely tied with the admission deadlines. In most cases, it is even recommended that you apply for university housing as soon as you have submitted your documents at chosen universities and you are waiting for feedback. And remember to not waste any time between your Bachelor and Masters – aim to invest as much as you can!
