University of Birmingham


The University of Birmingham is a world renowned research intensive university and a member of the prestigious Russell Group in the UK.  We are a highly ranked university in both national and International league tables.  We are placed 13th in the Guardian University Guide 2017 and placed within the top 100 universities in the world in the QS World University Rankings 2017.

Birmingham Business School is consistently found in global ranking tables and is accredited by leading bodies, AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB.


Postgraduate student community

With over 14,000 postgraduate students, we are one of the most popular universities in the UK for postgraduate study, offering over 400 taught postgraduate courses and a wealth of research opportunities.  We also have one of the largest and most vibrant international student communities in the UK, with over 5,000 international students from over 150 different countries.  



The main campus at Edgbaston is set in 250 acres of parkland and is located just a few miles south of Birmingham city centre.  It has all the amenities of a small town, including shops, bars, cafés, banks, medical and dental surgeries, sports facilities, and even its own railway station.
