Digital Management at Fresenius University of Applied Sciences

Growing digital transformation is changing entire sectors and industries. These rapid developments require companies and organizations to respond to the increasing challenges of ongoing digitalization, to understand these radical changes and deal with their effects. The new Master’s program in Digital Management covers and focuses on both tried-and-tested traditional management approaches and on new digital management methods. The new consecutive and application-focused program builds on the content of bachelor’s program in business and media studies and delves more deeply into students’ previously acquired knowledge. Instruction is in English.
 

The Master's degree enables career prospects for example in the areas of Investment Management, Business Development, Strategic Management, Change Management or Media and Communication Management. Further information on the focus and the course of study can be found on the website.

Digital Management at Fresenius University of Applied Sciences: Subjects

Students learn methods and concepts from the fields of Digital Management and General Management. For example, courses in Entrepreneurship, Digital Media, Decision Theories, International Management, Financial Management, Organisational Management and Business Ethics are firmly integrated into the curriculum. Students will deepen their theoretical knowledge through case studies in the areas of Management, Entrepreneurship and Business Plans. Students can tailor the programme to their particular interests or goals by choosing optional specialist subject areas such as Sustainable Management, Digital Law, eCommerce, Technical Applications, Data Management or Social Media.

Studying Beyond Theory

In this degree program, our students will deepen their theoretical knowledge through case studies in the areas of:
 

  • Management
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Business Planning


Additionally, our students can tailor the program to their particular interests or goals by choosing optional areas of specialization, such as:
 

  • Sustainable Management
  • International Digital Law
  • eCommerce
  • Technical Applications
  • Data Management
  • Social Media


The program encompasses three presence semesters. In the fourth semester, students complete their Master's thesis and their final business plans, which can be sent from abroad.

Digital Management at Fresenius University of Applied Sciences: Career perspectives

The interdisciplinary program and diverse content provide graduates with the ideal credentials for working in top positions or successfully starting their own business and realizing their business ideas. Whether an assistant to the executive board or management, an investment manager or working in business development or strategic management, graduates can pursue a wide range of career paths outside the media and communications industry.

Digital Management at Fresenius University of Applied Sciences: Admission

  • A written or online application to International Business School
  • A successful college degree (with a grade of "2.5" or better) and at least 180 points ECTS
  • As part of the completed studies are 45 ECTS credits in business, economics and / or communication science modules
  • A final grade below 2.5  or a lack of ECTS credits in the modules mentioned above can be replaced by an entrance test or a subject-based interview with the Dean of Students
  • Language requirements:
  • The course language is English. Applicants are required to demonstrate the minimal B2  level according to the European Framework of Reference, proven by:
  • TOEFL (min. 80 points Internet-based) or IELTS (min. 6.5) or
  • A minimum of  60 ECTS at an English-speaking university program or a minimum  six-month stay in an English speaking country or
  • A language test administered by INTEBUS – International Business School or
  • Native speaker of English (individual assessment)

The Fresenius University of Applied Sciences is a privately operated university whose degree courses are state-approved but not state-financed. For this reason, we are required to collect study fees.
 

  • Fees: EUR 795 per month
