Environment and Society Studies
Radboud's Master's programme in Environment and Society takes a multidisciplinary approach to understanding and working towards sustainability, drawing topics like sociology, psychology, political science and administration. The courses in this programme take a comparative international approach as well, not just looking from different perspectives, but also from different scales.
In addition to your own programme, you will be associated with the Deparment of Geography, Planning and Environment and the Nijmegen School of Management.
As a student you will also benefit from Radboud's extensive network, giving your plenty of internship opportunities during your studies, and career opportunities after.
This programme focuses on the way society deals with its physical environment. We’ll look at experiences of countries all over the globe, at good and bad practices and at the role of markets and governments as well as society itself.
You will learn how to put theory into practice, learning from professionals, taking part in practical assignments and assessing how key theories perform. Seminars are interactive so you have the opportunitiy to build your skills through participation in negotiation games and debates, which will strengthen your ability to match the interests of various stakeholders in environmental planning.
Students also have the opportunitiy to expand their skills and network through the internship segment of the programme.
