Course Content

The curriculum of the Master Innovation and Entrepreneurship study program at Munich Business School is based on four pillars:
 

Core Modules not only provide you with a strong foundation of international business and management knowledge and the appropriate know-how to apply it to practice, they also feature a oneof-a-kind combination of subjects that go far beyond the contents of conventional business studies – making the Master Innovation and Entrepreneurship a unique study program.
 

Focus Modules are exclusive to the Master Innovation and Entrepreneurship and have been specifically designed to provide you with cutting-edge expert knowledge on innovation strategies, ideation and prototyping, starting and scaling a business, and much more expertise that you want to command in order to become an innovative entrepreneur.
 

Two Innovation and Entrepreneurship Projects challenge your entrepreneurial skillset already during your studies. In cooperation with your fellow students, you learn how to create a startup idea and put it to practice, and how to scope, execute, and deliver an innovation project commissioned by a real-life company. The perfect preparation for your career as an innovative, responsible, and globally-minded entrepreneur!
 

Electives feature various options to further customize your study experience at Munich Business School, and get involved into Technology Trends, Happiness in Business, and many more topics that enable you to discover new perspectives.

Admission Requirements

English Proficiency

Applicants must proof their English language skills by passing one of the following language tests:
 

  • TOEFL ibt: minimum 85 (min. 22 in writing and min. 20 in all other bands; MBS TOEFL Institution Code: 5772)
  • IELTS: minimum level of 6.5 – Academic Module
  • ELS English for Academic Purposes: Advanced Level 112
     

Test results can only be accepted if achieved within the last two years. If you are unable to obtain your test results before handing in your MBS application, please inform us about your planned test date.

 

The English proficiency test can be waived by the following candidates:
 

  • Applicants having completed their schooling in English (i.e., High School Diploma, IB)
  • Applicants having completed their first academic degree in English

Practical Projects

Innovation and Entrepreneurship Projects challenge your entrepreneurial skillset already during your studies. In cooperation with your fellow students, you learn how to create a startup idea and put it to practice, and how to scope, execute, and deliver an innovation project commissioned by a real-life company. The perfect preparation for your career as an innovative, responsible, and globally-minded entrepreneur!


 
International Focus

Though basic business principles apply everywhere, every international market is shaped by its own political, cultural, and historical landscapes. A good share of the course work is therefore dedicated to exploring international markets, international business methods, and specific economies that are currently impacting gobal business.

During your Master studies at MBS, you choose one International Focus per semester.

Semester Abroad and Dual Degree

The semester abroad at one of MBS’s over 60 partner universities worldwide will pose an unforgettable experience for you. By spending a semester at an international university, you will expand your intercultural competencies and foreign language proficiency, and find friends for life.

European Business Summer - "Gateway to Germany"

After the second semester international students have the option to visit the summer school of Zagreb School of Economics and Management (ZSEM) in Croatia. Furthermore they can attend an intensive language course in German as well as a career and application training for the German job market at the MBS (period: June till August).


Dual Degree

The cooperation between Munich Business School and renowned international universities provides you with the opportunity to earn two different Master's degrees within two years.


The general structure of the Dual Degree programs is two semesters at MBS plus two semesters at the partner institution, followed by the Master thesis.
