International School of Management (ISM): M.Sc. Finance

The rapid rise in global transactions affords opportunities as well as risks to the financial world as a whole. Financial experts should therefore not only know the ins and outs of the financial system, but also how to drive it forward. Their tasks include, among other things, developing innovative and cost-effective instruments that ensure capital is invested efficiently in new products, markets and research.

The M.Sc. Finance degree course has been designed to meet these requirements. Building on existing knowledge, students will develop their skills further over three semesters and complete a master's dissertation. The focus of the degree will be on financial management. Students will also have the opportunity to explore and broaden their knowledge of tax, law and appraisal issues.

Internationality is an integral element of the programme; it is thus taught and examined fully in English. Students will also spend one semester at a university overseas, acquiring an appreciation of regional differences within the financial industry while developing general, academic and specialist language skills in the subject area.

The M.Sc. Finance degree course is offered at the campuses in Dortmund, Frankfurt/Main and Munich.

In cooperation with renowned partner universities abroad, ISM also offers this course as an international double degree.

Duration: 3 semesters + thesis
