This Masters course encompasses the planning and construction of buildings, objects and facilities. You will gain in-depth knowledge about design, construction and maintenance of the built environment such as bridges, roads and dams. As a student, you choose a specialised subject area, such as general, structural, or geo-technical civil engineering.

Admission requires a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a similar degree in a related field of study. However, they depend on the particular university; therefore you should inform yourself about these requirements at the very university of your choice.

The standard period of study for a Master of Civil Engineering lasts four semesters and upon completion, you are awarded the academic title of Master of Science or Master of Engineering.
