Media professionals need strong commercial, strategic, and managerial skills to be successful in an industry constantly undergoing fundamental changes. This Masters programme equips you with these skills, next to providing you with entrepreneurial leadership qualities. Additionally, students are trained to deal with the complex challenges presented by new technologies, learn about consumer behaviour, and analyse evolving business models.

Many times, there is an emphasis on the critical analysis of the impacts of globalisation, global governance and global civil society, such as the changing nature of the media and the technological landscape. Next to being able to manage complex media projects, Media Managers also have the know-how to engage in strategic direction setting, deploy business-planning skills, and excel in leadership and concept realization.

Next to theoretical lectures, there are plenty of practical projects within this Masters programme. An example of a project could be the development of your own radio show, focusing both on a perfectly balanced content, and on a strategically refined business implementation.

After successfully finishing your one or two-year programme, you will obtain one of the academic titles “Master of Arts” or “Master of Science”, depending on your specialisation.

Employment options
