Pharmacy is an interdisciplinary science concerned with the effects, development and production of medicines. It includes a great deal theoretical and practical knowledge from the fields of Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Medicine.

The focus of your Pharmacy studies will be the application of drugs to patients and the analysis of human diseases. Some of the main subjects include Human Biology, Biochemistry, Drug Theory and Organic Chemistry.

Admission requirements for a Masters in Pharmacy

Before you can start with your Masters you will be expected to present a Bachelor degree in Pharmacy or Natural/Health Sciences. In addition, some universities might require a practical internship or preparation for a variety of selection procedures. Make sure you are aware of the admission criteria of your specific institution. 

Job prospects

After a period of four semesters you will typically complete your studies with the academic title “Master of Science”. You will have the opportunity to follow the classic career path and work as a pharmacist or look for a career in the pharmaceutical industry where you can take part in the research, manufacturing and quality assurance of medicines.
