Master Chemistry at University of Antwerp

The Master of Chemistry at the University of Antwerp takes place very close to the second largest cluster of (petro)chemical industry in the world. Thanks to this close proximity you will be exposed to business application along with scientific research during your entire Master’s programme.

Content

The study programme focuses on research and development. The close proximity of the chemical industry and the Port of Antwerp create perfect circumstances to organise an internationally oriented Master’s programme. Professors and guest speakers from industry share knowledge and experience from their own daily professional life in business and research. In this way, you gain direct insight in how chemistry is interwoven with different economic sectors in our society and what your role can be.
 

Besides this contact with professionals, you will have the opportunity to do an internship to strengthen the connection between your academic education and your future professional life.
 

Through a wide range of optional courses, you can focus your educational study programme on one of the sub disciplines of Chemistry. Your Master’s thesis enhances your analytical and processing skills through exposure to high-level research environments.
