Master Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship at Newcastle University Business School

Our Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship MSc is designed to meet the needs of knowledge-based, entrepreneurial and innovation-driven economies worldwide. It explores the strategies and business processes that promote innovation and creativity in organisations, including the fundamentals of enterprise development and entrepreneurship.

Employers are increasingly looking to recruit enterprising and creative individuals - this course looks to produce graduates who aspire to strategic roles within the private and public sectors and who can lead these organisations through innovative change.

This course benefits from strong links with the University's Careers Service which supports entrepreneurial activity among the student body.  In addition the course has good connections with industry and experienced entrepreneurs, providing you with a setting to start a business and to engage on real projects with regional stakeholders.

Throughout the course you will:

  • identify the fundamental features of enterprise development and entrepreneurship, including leadership requirements for developing new enterprises and leading organisational transformations
  • develop your capability to understand and analyse the strategies and business processes that promote innovation and creativity within organisations
  • develop the knowledge, skills and attributes required for assuming strategic responsibilities in private and public sector organisations and for leading organisational transformation through innovation
  • develop an appreciation of developments in intellectual property rights and their management within a strategic framework.

Master Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship at Newcastle University Business School: Admission

This course is aimed at students who intend to seek roles within organisations where innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship are defining features. This can include innovation consultancy, product development, management and business support. It is also aimed at those who want a postgraduate management education that will prepare them to start their own business.

Academic requirements: For entry onto this Master’s course, you should hold a minimum upper-second-class Honours (2:1) Bachelor’s degree or its international equivalent equivalent from any subject background.

English language: IELTS 6.5 overall score with no sub skill below 6.0.
